Hi I’m thinking of having surgery on both my armpits. Would you recommend surgery on my groin and butt area? I have boil’s around my buttcrack and groin that leaks out pus.

Im so sorry you have this,i watched 2 vidio,s yesterday on here,it an awful thing hurrendous to have to live with bless your heart,the 2 ladies, and a man were in an awful state about it, one lady got an episode on her wedding day,it had come to a head and burst, there was nasty green it looked like,, it was absolutely hurrendous for her,my heart was aching,on her wedding day of all days,,like you she cried,she was told to lose weight she did 90 pounds, i think she said it helped a bit,but not much change, anouther lady hers was all covered she kept crying as she had a flare up at the time,, my heart does go out to you those 2 ladies and the man, and to everyone out there who suffers with this awfut thing, i hope to think that one day somewhere they will find a cure xxxx❤💙🌹🌹🌹💙

Hello ma'am I'm 18 years old girl suffering from HS since 4 years and I'm to shy to tell anyone about it. It is so painful and soon I'm going to consult a doctor. I a college going student can't afford a lot , can i know how much such surgery cost? Please help me I'm literally dying inside

Did your surgery hurt and which one did you have

I used tattoo tape. Bought it of off amazon. waterproof does not snatch off any skin. The tape comes in different sizes and patterns.😊

The tape literally Snatch my skin off. Happened to me today remove an Band aid.😢

I just had my 1st surgery in July 17th, 23’ under my right arm where they removed the skin and sweat glands and also removed the HS under my left chest and had my skin graft for under my right arm in August. My 2nd surgery for my Left arm pit was a lot worse they had to remove a lot more skin on October 3rd, 2023 and I am now almost 4 weeks in waiting for skin graft to be scheduled and my right chest also had removed the HS. I have one more area to have surgery which is below the waste but they told me plastics will have to be to be involved in that process. I have felt after my first surgery my HS attacked my left arm with a vengeance and now that it has no where else to attack it’s now taking a vengeance below the waste. I wish this on no one. It affects everything I don’t even want to do anything but just lay in bed. The pain that we go through is unbearable. The only pain I had was the wound vac for 1st surgery don’t ever do it because it’s worse than labor pains. 2nd surgery the wound as it was healing cause so much pain it felt like it was burning, but 2 weeks after it stopped.

I feel like I'll never show my body to a woman with my hs they will think I'm gross and dirty I shower 3 times a day but it doesn't help it's just getting worse.

10 days ago I had a ton of deroofing and 3 excisions in my groin and butt a little in my armpits... a ton of pain. I can't wait til I can sit again. So much drainage. Mine were left wide open to drain and heal naturally. My insurance sucks so I have no aftercare. "It's not an easy recovery" was all the info i got beforehand.

Can you live with HS without those surgeries? Im really scared cuz I have it on my Groin, Armpits and thighs. I dont want to go through surgery.

For me meditation. Also I came to realise that HS is the biggest teacher I had. I would have been an arrogant douche without HS. With HS I am compassionate, understanding and awake. I would never inflict it on anyone on purpose but it is a blessing in disguise. Through difficulties to the stars. Adversity creates strength. 💪🏼

Hello, I've had HS all my life and Im 33. I just learned the name of it about maybe 4 years ago. I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes last year in June and had one under my armpit for two weeks on going seemed like. I had to have emergency surgery on it after being admitted into the ER for a 698 sugar reading. The infection was causing my sugar to elevate and they had to get it out. Since the surgery, I can say that I'm loving the aftermath.. Haven't had any issues in this arm since. I would say about 4 mths recovery time though and having my skin grow back. Now today I have one in my left armpit and havent been able to lift it for a week now. I have an appt with my surgeon this Friday and I can't wait for surgery number 2 under the other arm.

I'm 19 and I have HS. I haven't told my parents about it yet. I'm planning to reduce my fat and then go for surgery.

How do you manage arm hair after the surgery?

I have HS and have learned that NIGHTSHADES are my biggest culprit. It’s difficult avoiding them in food. Dairy, yeast and too much sugar also cause issues.

My husband has hs. We want to do surgery but very afraid. Does it reappear or get worsened? Plz give us advice 🙏
